Well...it has been awhile since I last posted but a lot has been going on in the past couple of months.
We have a new addition to the family. Madeleine Grace entered our lives on 09/19/07 and has been going nonstop since then. The birth itself was pretty uneventful but she was determined to make the "homestretch" dramatic for mommy.
Tammy was placed on bedrest right before Labor Day because of her increasing blood pressure. This happened with Hannah and lead to some complications with Hannah's delivery so the doctor was not going to take any chances. This made Tammy's feets, ankles, legs, and hands swell and made her generally very uncomfortable. We had already planned a little trip to Sedona so we made the trip since Tammy would be in the pool 90% of the time.
When we returned, that is when the real fun started. Tammy's blood pressure did not come back down so we spent the next couple of weeks in and out of the doctor's office and hosipital. To make a long story short, the doctor decided to induce labor 3 weeks early and now Tammy is finally doing well...at least physically. Tammy has been a trooper throughout but I think the lack of sleep is wearing on her at this point. My mom flew in from San Antonio to help during the last week of pregnancy and stayed for about a week afterwards. It was a big help. Hopefully the little one with learn to sleep longer than a couple of hours soon.
Hannah is doing great with little sister. All things considered she is doing quite well and I am very proud of her attitude with all the recent changes.
We just had Madeleine baptized and my cousin Laura and her husband Tom flew in from San Antonio for the event. We are very happy they were able to come and be Madeleine's godparents. Having them around for a couple of days was very nice.
Well...I probably need to do some work now. I am in the process of exploring a job opportunity in Houston so we shall see how that goes. I do miss Texas...

Just Goofing Around...
Mommy is out with the ladies tonight so Hannah and I were "partying". We just got done with another session of Zelda for the Wii and she is quite excited about "the guy with green hair". Kids sure do keep you young.

Gadgets
Most people like new electronics. I don't know anyone that wasn't at least a little intrigued by the iPhone. I however think I have some sort of addiction to the latest and greatest.
Ask anyone that knows me. I have probably gone through more cell phones in the past few years than most will go through in their entire lives. It all started when I worked at RadioShack in college. It was like some sort of high. I was always wanting the new model and somehow I would always find a way to get it.
Now that I am in the professional world, you would have thought this obsession would die out or at least dwindle. In fact, I think it has gotten worse. I now have actual uses for these devices and whenever some new feature is added I think to myself "I could use that."
I thought this was weird for a while (along with my wife and several friends), then I discovered there are is a whole population that not only share this obsession but are worse. Just look at some of these websites...
www.the-gadgeteer.com
www.treocentral.com
www.phonescoop.com
www.howardforums.com
www.phonenews.com
www.engadget.com
and the list goes on.
So what is my point. Just when you think you are unique in your weirdness, the Internet introduces you to a mass group just like you.

Let the Ramblings Begin
Not really sure what to say but I am having one of those nights.
It is now 12:44am and instead of sleeping I am typing this post. Why? Because I am up waiting on our technical support to fix an issue with my mobile device. In our company's infinite wisdom they outsourced our IT support to another multi-national company and our support is based all over the place. I call Sweden and get transferred to Ireland...but wait they are only level one support so they pass me on to the Czech Republic. I believe I am fully fluent in broken English.
Oh well...
My wife is patiently waiting for me to come to bed so I will end this ramble for now.
